SELF PORTRAITS
My self portraits mean to show all my different sides. Lots of people don't know all about me, and just have one vision of myself. I can be a very friendly, helpful, reliable, and lovely person. But I don't like when others treat me not nice, and just take advantage of my help or niceness. I don't want to "push" myself up, and say that I am WONDERFUL or FABULOUS..because I am not..I also have my mistakes, and an ugly side..! But still to keep my self- confident (up), I need to remind myself how beautiful I am in- and outside, almost everyday!!
PORTRAITS
I took pictures of my hostmother Amanda, and we took the pictures on a weekend at home.
I chose her to photograph, because I thought it would be a nice afternoon- activity we would both enjoy, and have fun with. She also likes taking pictures a lot, so we are sharing that hobby together.

WEB ASSIGNMENT #5
WEB ASSIGNMENT #5: Beauty
I think beauty is really difficult to define, and everybody has anther opinion.
Beauty in Photography is undefined, we do not take always pictures from "beautiful" places, people, things etc. Sometimes the creativity and the art matters more. How you put the thing or the person in the picture, how you combine it, how the light is etc., everything matters, and of course the object. So if we would take pictures of ugly bugs and snails, we could make the picture beautiful. Or just interesting, and something more special then a photo of a model.
Characteristics of beauty are simpleness, interest(ing), casual, natural, individual, authoritarian, specialness on your own, new, different, expressive..
I think there are some more, but those adjectives were the first, which came into my mind, thinking about beauty.

WEB ASSIGNMENT #4
1. Alfred Stieglitz was an american photographer and modern art promoter, he made photography becoming an art form. After he came back from Germany, as an engineer, he determined to show the people that photography is another way to express yourself, like in paintings or sculpture. He started publishing work of photographer who shared his conviction.
2.
I took this picture, because I like the city Venezia. Even though I have never really been there, but it is a wish for me to go there. I just like all the paintings or photographs of that city. When I first saw it on the internet, on monday, it just impressed me. I like that it shows the water and the boats on it, floating, the buildings beside them, and the shadowing of everything together in the water.
3. Even though Stieglitz was married with Emily, he always had a special relationship with the painter Georgia O'Keeffe. And after Emily left him, because she did not like the fact that her husband likes another woman beside her, they got together. Georgia Totto O'Keeffe was an american artist, and she painted large paintings of of enlarged blossoms and buildings in New York. They had a special relationship, they got from acquaintances to admires to lovers and then finally to men and wife. They loved each other so much, that they wrote letters almost ever day, for each other.
